Me
I’m Zane Troyer. Am interested in data science, particularly visualization and the application of statistical models to help refine and sharpen complex questions.
The Blog Posts
I enjoy writing educational stuff related to data science, from technical tips or pedagogical walkthroughs of ideas, to general commentary of what it’s like to be in a corporate data scientist role.
The Book Reviews
Occasionally I’ll write a short review of a book I’ve read. They serve a couple purposes: to help me process my thoughts, and to maybe entertain a reader of this site.
The Site
I use Yihui Xie’s wonderful blogdown package to build the site. Blogdown makes it easy to have a fancy static website. All I have to do is write markdown files in RStudio!
The layout is Barron Schwartz’s Story theme.
Thank you!
